carrs carp....

This Was A Prestine 12 lb Common Carp Caught at Brookfoot before they began to have a problem With Blue Algae which caused Devestating effects to All of the Carp in there. I asked Philip the Bailiff what size the New Carp were when they had got Rid of the algae Problem. He said not much over 10lb 2 years ago, Which is supposed to be doing well again now, with the smaller fishing.

Stu and a 12 pound common carp caught from Brookfo

Tony Rileys Pond went dead for a while but I helped a few lads introduce three Islands on it with Philip 2 years ago to help the fish feed on natural crustacean from special plants to help the fish get into a natural feeding cycle which would help them bite More..

Welcome to my site

Brookfoot Lake Elland The picture shows the lake without the three Islands which was completed in 2004, This was the first lake I took up Coarse Fishing , and also Dave who Started about a year after Me, But with me going for a while, Started enjoying Tony Rylies Pond up on the Top End. which obviously lead me and David towards Carp, And Koi Keeping for Me..

This is my Mate Dave, He doesn't tolerate Fishing as much as Me, He only likes it when the fish are biting, He'd rather be sunning it wherever abroad, I've seen him so many times when he comes on and has a do with us on the bank sit querying himself why isn't he catching, I've told him it's because of his endtackle, I've tried to help him out when he's on the bank getting the right endtackle and things in the past, but when it comes down to it, as a self employed man, he'll say "too much money - can't afford." I've tried helping him By explaining to him to make things easier on the bank that he needs a hair Rig Wallett for his hooklengths, so he is able to get as many as he can Made up at home before we Hit the Bank side. Still the same Explanation TOO MUCH MONEY,
I wouldn't mind but again and again he will come fishing and sit time after time on a blank after giving what money he has to the bailiff and coming home with very little rewards from the day. It gutts me to think of the amount of money wasted on fishing tickets that he spends that could be spent on a few lateral bits of equipment instead, Organisation is his only downfall, and planning ahead a strategy of fishing the swims from his peg, before getting going on the bank. I suppose if he plotted a strategent list of already planned out effective strategys and techniques that can be used on test from a list before we go, I think we should both get some good rewards to overcome that as the Problem.
